If you’re running a blog, it’s important to track your content’s success. After all, you want to know what’s working and what’s not so you can improve your blog strategy. In this article, we’ll discuss the most important SEO metrics to track for content performance and engagement. By monitoring these metrics, you’ll be able to measure your blog’s success and make necessary changes to improve your results. Let’s get started!

    Table of Contents

    • Links:
    • Rankings/ Position:
    • Organic Search Traffic
    • Bounce Rate:
    • Organic Clicks/ Impressions/ CTR:
    • Time on Page/ Session Duration:
    • Organic Conversion Rate:
    • Mobile rankings:
    • Accelerated Mobile Pages:
    • Page Speed:
    • Site search:
    • Pages Indexed/ Index Status:

    Links:

Links are one of the most important parts of your content marketing efforts. By tracking the number of links you’re getting, you can gauge how popular your content is and how well it’s performing. You can also track the number of backlinks from other websites. This will give you an idea of how much traffic you’re receiving from other sources.

    Rankings/ Position:

Your content’s position in the search results is also a good indicator of its success. By tracking your rankings, you can see how well your content performs in the search engines. You can also track your position for specific keywords to see how well your content ranks for those terms.

    Organic Search Traffic

: Another important metric to track is organic search traffic. This is the traffic that comes to your website from the search engines. By monitoring this metric, you can see how well your content performs in the search engines and how much traffic you’re receiving.

    Bounce Rate:

The bounce rate is another important metric to track. This measures the percentage of visitors who leave your website after viewing only one page. A high bounce rate indicates that your content is not engaging or relevant to your audience. If your bounce rate is high, it’s a good idea to make changes to your content, so it’s more engaging and relevant.

    Organic Clicks/ Impressions/ CTR:

These metrics measure how often your content is being clicked on in the search results. The organic clicks metric measures the number of times your content is clicked on in the search results. The organic impressions metric measures the number of times your content is seen in the search results. The organic CTR (click-through rate) measures the percentage of people who click on your content when they see it in the search results. By tracking these metrics, you can see how well your content performs in the search engines and how often it’s being clicked on.

    Time on Page/ Session Duration:

These two metrics measure how long visitors spend on your website. The time on page metric measures how long visitors spend on each page of your website. The session duration metric measures how long visitors are spending on your website overall. If they’re spending a lot of time on your website, it’s a good sign that they’re finding your content interesting and engaging.

    Organic Conversion Rate:

The organic conversion rate measures the percentage of visitors who take the desired action on your website. This could be subscribing to your blog, signing up for your newsletter, or making a purchase. By tracking this metric, you can see how well your content is performing to convert visitors into subscribers or customers.

    Mobile rankings:

Mobile rankings are becoming increasingly important as more and more people use their mobile devices to access the internet. By tracking your mobile rankings, you can see how well your content performs on mobile devices.

    Accelerated Mobile Pages:

Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) is a mobile-friendly page that loads faster on mobile devices. By tracking your AMP pages, you can see how well your content is performing on mobile devices and how many people see your AMP pages.

    Page Speed:

Page speed measures how fast your website loads. By tracking this metric, you can see how well your content performs in terms of page speed. A slow website can frustrate visitors and make them less likely to stick around.

    Site search:

Site search is a feature that allows visitors to search your website for specific content. By tracking this metric, you can see how often people use the site search feature and what they’re searching for. This can give you insights into what content people are looking for on your website and whether or not they’re finding it.

    Pages Indexed/ Index Status:

These two metrics measure how many of your website’s pages are indexed by the search engines. The pages indexed metric measures the number of pages that are being indexed. The index status metric measures the overall health of your website’s indexation.

As you can see, there are several different SEO metrics that you can track to gauge the success of your content. By monitoring these metrics, you can see what’s working well and what needs improvement. By improving your content based on these metrics, you can increase your traffic and engagement from the search engines. And ultimately, this will help you achieve your business goals.
