Despite the First-generation college students, her Reach Higher organization was also a pointed audience for Ms. Obama. Her main aim is to direct and encourage students towards higher education.
The co-founder of ATTN, Matthew Segal, said that IGTV proved to be the perfect platform for the show. Besides, it is an adjunct of Instagram having fresh younger users than Facebook.
“The retention we see on IGTV is extremely high,” Mr. Segal said. “As users give more time to Instagram in general, they’re receiving used to streaming longer videos on IGTV.”
An ATTN spokeswoman shared that there was no direct funding of “A Year of Firsts” by Instagram. But, the primary source of ATTN money on IGTV comes from other shows that are not free for brands and TV companies.
Commitment to Instagram
The organization is talking with Instagram to produce more real IGTV programming. But it refused to comment on specifics that are related to Instagram funding, according to the spokeswoman.
Interest Capturing Platform
The star personalities are also showing their interest in IGTV. Shots Studios, a production studio, and management corporation depict the social media celebrities, including Lele Pons and Hannah Stocking. According to John Shahidi, the company’s chief executive, they are deciding to release at least four new show series on IGTV.
Social media celebrities are showing interest in IGTV because they think here, they can find a focused audience. Mr. Shahidi said, “That’s where most of our fans are.”
When the platform launched, Ms. Pons premiered a cooking show on IGTV. Now the online audience of Ms. Pons includes 39 million followers on Instagram. According to Mr. Shahidi, it helped to inform the studio’s creative model for IGTV, which focuses on personality-driven planning.
Mr. Shahidi refused to respond to Shots Studios, who are asking for funding from Instagram.
