To ease this condition one is usually advised  to use a breast  pump to express milk, applying of cold wash cloths on the breasts can also help in easing the pain. Wearing of tight bra’s when breastfeeding can help stop milk production.

Pregnancy leads to changes of body shape  and one usually looks  flabby and out of shape but after birth women start losing weight with up to 10 pounds in a day including the weight of the baby and amniotic fluid. Mood swings may be evident as sadness anxiety and irritability start being a part of life in other mothers.

Hemorrhoids which are swollen painful blood vessels at the anus may come into play resulting in painful bowel movements. Lochia is another discharge that comes out through the vagina after child birth and comes out as a menstrual period due to the uterus shedding and renewing its lining.

It is usually dark red in color having a non offensive odor during the first three days and later turns to pink in color. By the way, every woman gains a lot of weight during pregnancy.
