    How to Create More Engaging Video Content for Your Brand

    Building a brand is no small feat, and it often requires the support of many different disciplines, from digital marketing to business analytics and everything in between.

    Thanks to the ease and the speed with which content can be created and distributed nowadays, the playing field is at least somewhat leveled, provided you can make sure you commit to the highest possible quality.

    Video content is still a great way to boost your brand’s reach, but how exactly do you make your efforts more engaging? Here are some tips to help you out.

    Make it Accessible

    If people can’t engage with your brand due to poor accessibility rates, you are likely hurting your reputation by excluding members of your target audience.

    To ensure that everyone benefits from your videos, it is worth utilizing some extended audio description services.

    This can make your brand more accessible to those who are blind or live with low vision. It also supports your in-house operations, as it can ensure that all of your visual content is much more inclusive.

    Write a Script

    Even if your script provides nothing more than a simple set of guidelines to stick to, they can still be extremely helpful.

    They help you stay on track, manage time scales and perhaps more importantly, lay out your points in a clear and concise manner.

    Sticking rigidly to a script may have an adverse effect, however, so it’s worth allowing for flexibility and letting your natural charm shine through.

    Give the Audience Useful Information

    There is little point offering the audience video content that says or does nothing. For them to engage with your brand, your video needs to actually give them useful, informative, entertaining and original information.

    Failing to do this can result in low engagement levels, and in a worst-case scenario, make your brand come across as inauthentic and unprofessional.

    A few examples of branding videos you could try out might include:

    • How-to Videos – A tried and true classic. If you have expert knowledge about your industry, why not show it off in a hot-to video? A high-authority voice and a useful message can carry your content a long way.
    • Reviews – Product reviews can be a fantastic way to showcase your own goods to the audience while directing them to your brand.
    • Interviews – Interviews are wonderful collaborative opportunities that can give a huge boost to your marketing efforts, so start asking around; you may even net a celeb!

    Use a Cohesive Aesthetic

    Cohesion is one the most important parts of brand building. Without it, you may have a hard time designing anything that’s remotely recognizable or memorable.

    Your videos need to be recognizable if they are to gain any traction in terms of regular viewing figures.

    This means sticking to a particular tone of voice, creating a distinctive thumbnail for your video, and keeping to a familiar structure (but still making it adaptable). 

    Great video content tends to take a while to take off, but if you persevere and put enough time into the editing stage, you can surely give your brand the boost it needs.
