    What is Acute Ischemic Stroke?

    Acute ischemic stroke refers to a stoppage of blood flow to a part of the brain. Usually, an embolism or thrombosis may occur, a ruptured vessel or occludes. During vessel occlusion, part of the brain gets damaged, this damage is irreversible, and this causes loss of functioning. The decrease in the supply of blood flow causes the brain to lose its function. However, injury to the brain is not irreversible.
