    Are you tired of being a couch potato? Have you had enough of your lazy lifestyle? Well, this is your sign to get back up and start crushing the gym. But gym does not have to be all pain and little gain. Whatever age or fitness level you’re at, you can become the very best version of yourself with proper guidelines and tips. Here are some suggestions for all the gym newbies out there:

This includes stretching the muscles you are about to use, such as lunges, arm swings, or light jogging in place. This is important to get your heart rate running.

    Moreover, never forget to cool down your body. Just as a crying baby needs to be calmed down, similarly, your body needs to cool down right after exercising to bring down the heart rate back to the resting pace. End your workout by gently stretching each used muscle. Cool-down is, after all, the dessert you don’t want to miss out on!

    · Keep Yourself Hydrated

    An excellent hydrating punch is a perfect side to a good exercise plan. Keep a bottle of water, or add a little lemon or mint in it to give a kick to your metabolism. In addition, excessive sweating can be dangerous if you’re not well hydrated, which may lead to blacking out or muscle cramping. The body needs electrolytes to maintain an optimum level of physical activity carried out by your muscles. 

    · Choose your exercises wisely.

    Exercising like the next world body-building champion won’t give you those abs and pecs. Each body is unique. What may work for others won’t necessarily work for you. Nonetheless, keep in mind that resting between days is as important as going to the gym. Don’t push yourself too hard. Try to reward yourself and hype yourself up by using positive affirmations to boost your confidence.
