If you’re building a new gaming PC, the processor is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. The Best CPUs for RX 6700 XT right processor can make all the difference in terms of performance, and it’s important to choose the one that best suits your needs.

There are a lot of different processors on the market, and it can be tough to decide which one is right for you. Here are a few tips to help you choose the best processor for your new gaming PC for Best AM3+ CPUs

    Table of Contents

    • 1. Consider your budget
    • 2. Choose between Intel Core and AMD FX processors
    • 3. Choose your core count
    • 4. Other things to consider: TDP and overclocking
    • 5. Summary: The Best Gaming Processors
    • Conclusion:

    1. Consider your budget

One of the most important factors to consider when choosing a processor is your budget. Not all processors are created equal, and some are more expensive than others. Decide how much you can afford to spend on the processor, and then narrow down your search to models within that price range.

    2. Choose between Intel Core and AMD FX processors

There are two major brands when it comes to processors: AMD FX and Intel Core. Each brand has a wide variety of different products, so you’ll need to decide which one is right for you. You should also consider whether you want a desktop or laptop processor—although all of our top picks can be purchased in either version.

    a) AMD FX Processors – If you choose an AMD FX processor, you’ll get incredible multi-core performance at a reasonable price. These processors also tend to have better-overclocking capabilities than Intel Core, but they do produce more heat. For a high-end gaming PC, we recommend the FX-8350—it provides speed and value at an affordable price point.

    b) Intel Core Processors – If you choose an Intel Core processor, you’ll get slightly better single-core performance than an AMD FX chip, but they tend to be more expensive. They also don’t overclock as well as AMD processors do. However, if budget is your primary concern we still think that you can’t go wrong with the G3258 Anniversary Edition (although it may need a slight upgrade before it will work properly).

If you really want to step up your game, consider pairing either of these brands with one of our recommended GPUs.

    3. Choose your core count

When you choose a processor, one of the first numbers you’ll notice is its “core count.” This refers to how many cores are in the chip itself—the more cores it has, the better it will perform on multi-threaded applications like games. So how do you know which core count is right for you? Consider these three factors:

    a) How much do you spend on your PC? – If you have a high-end gaming PC that costs well over $1,000, then we recommend getting an eight-core or higher processor—such as AMD FX 8350 or Intel Core i5 6600K. These chips are expensive but they provide the best possible performance.

    b) How demanding are your games? – If you don’t spend much on your PC, it might be tough to justify the cost of an eight-core processor. But if you find that your current CPU is often maxed out while playing games, then it might be time for an upgrade—especially if you’re interested in adding more RAM or graphics cards to improve your frame rate. In this case, we recommend looking at processors with four cores or more.

    c) Are you planning to upgrade in the future? – Eight-core CPUs are expensive, but they can always be upgraded in the future by purchasing a separate motherboard. So if you plan on getting a high-end gaming PC that you won’t replace for a while, then it might be worth investing in an eight-core processor on day one.

    4. Other things to consider: TDP and overclocking

When buying a new CPU, there are other factors besides core count that you should take into consideration:

    a) Thermal Design Power (TDP) – When considering the different types of processors available, one of the first numbers you’ll notice is its “thermal design power.” This refers to how much heat the chip produces when working—the higher this number is, the hotter your processor will get during use. In general, we recommend getting a CPU with a lower TDP than what’s by default listed on your motherboard’s requirements. This will ensure that you don’t need to invest in a more expensive cooling system right away.

    b) Overclocking – If you plan on overclocking your CPU, then you should check out our article about choosing the best processor for overclocking. In general, we recommend getting a CPU with an “unlocked multiplier” if you want to overclock it—these chips allow for greater control over performance settings and budget gamers usually don’t have any problems with them. However, this type of chip does tend to be more expensive than its locked counterparts, so make sure it fits your budget before buying one.

    5. Summary: The Best Gaming Processors

    – If you have a high-end gaming PC that costs well over $1,000, then we recommend getting an eight-core or higher processor—such as AMD FX 8350 or Intel Core i5 6600K.

    – Eight- CPUs are expensive, but they can always be upgraded in the future by purchasing a separate motherboard. So if you plan on getting a high-end gaming PC that you won’t replace for a while, then it might be worth investing in an eight-core processor on day one.

    c) Are you planning to upgrade in the future? – Eight-core CPUs are expensive, but they can always be upgraded in the future by purchasing a separate motherboard. So if you plan on getting a high-end gaming PC that you won’t replace for a while, then it might be worth investing in an eight-core processor on day one.

    Conclusion:

When buying a new CPU for your gaming PC, it’s important to consider the type of games you play and your budget. Eight-core CPUs are expensive, but they can provide the best possible performance for gamers who want to future-proof their system. If you don’t spend much on your PC, you might be better off getting a processor with four cores or less. And if you plan on overclocking your CPU, make sure to check out our article about choosing the best processor for overclocking. Thank you for reading! We hope this article helped you choose the best CPU for your needs. For more information on building a gaming PC, be sure to check out our other articles and guides and follow InnoTech Reviews.
