    The Beginning

There are many types of dermal fillers available for different purposes. Dermal fillers help to enhance the appearance of the face, helping reduce wrinkles and lines that have developed over time. While many people are familiar with their use in an aesthetic plastic surgery setting, dermal fillers can be used for various purposes beyond the plastic surgeon’s office. Dermal fillers can be used to plump up lips, fill in scars from surgery, or simply fill out hollow cheeks after a large surgical operation. They can also be used to relieve facial pain, reduce scarring, improve skin sensitivity, or increase facial volume.

    Strength of Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers come in different strengths, depending on what you are looking for. In general, dermal fillers are used to improve facial wrinkles and lines, giving the skin more volume and a smoother look. Some of these dermal fillers, like Restylane, have a semi-permanent effect, while others, like Juvederm, take several months before they begin to affect facial contours noticeably. These are generally chosen over injectable creams or serums for this reason. Many dermal fillers are temporary since they’re usually injected directly into the skin, but others can be worn as makeup or moisturizer during the day.

While dermal fillers can provide excellent results, there are some potential side effects. One of the most common side effects is that of allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients used in the product. Each individual reacts differently to the same products, but it is important to note that reactions can range from mild to severe, including redness, swelling, and hives. In rare cases, the reaction can even lead to death. For this reason, it’s important that you discuss any and all treatment options with your doctor or healthcare provider before beginning.

Two other common dermal fillers are used for treating smiles lines and facial wrinkles. Retin-A is usually prescribed for use in treating wrinkles and sagging skin around the mouth and eyes. It is sometimes used to treat crow’s feet and age spots and sun damage on the face. Retinoic acids are sometimes used to treat stretch marks on the cheeks and rosacea and acne scars. These treatments may cause side effects, so discussing them with your doctor is recommended.

The second form of dermal fillers available is those that come in an injectable steroid cream. This injectable cream is made from a mixture of vitamins, collagen, aluminum hydroxyapatite, and phosphate in a concentration suitable for deep wrinkles. Unlike dermal fillers, steroid injections are designed to change the wrinkles and fine lines on the face permanently. The most popular form of this treatment is Latisse, which has a permanent effect. However, this type of treatment can irritate some people, and its use should be discussed thoroughly with a pharmacist or physician.

A third option for treating wrinkles and sagging facial treatments is Radiesse. Radiesse is an injectable gel that is similar to Radiance, but it contains a lesser amount of aluminum hydroxyapatite. The advantage of Radiesse is that it doesn’t cause swelling, redness, or itching. Unlike dermal fillers, injecting is easy, although this is a more complex procedure. You will need a prescription for this treatment, which can be obtained from your physician or at any pharmacy where Radiesse is sold.

Before opting for dermal fillers, you should ensure that the plastic surgeon performing your surgery is Board-certified and is experienced in the procedure. This is important because only Board-certified plastic surgeons can assure you that the filler will harm you. While there are no known serious adverse effects from dermal fillers, it is still best to ask your doctor if unsure about the treatment. It is best to err on the side of caution regarding your health.

    Final Word

The good news is that even non-FDA-approved dermal fillers in Los Angeles can give you a wrinkle-free look if they are injected properly. However, your treatment time frame will vary based on the depth of your wrinkles. The procedure can take anywhere between one to three months, depending on your skin condition and your doctor’s choice of injectable dermal fillers. Be sure to ask your doctor what the treatment time frame is before opting for this option.
