A wedge wire filter is installed on the filter equipment to achieve liquid and particle filtration. The wedge wire filtration is also known as the wedge wire candle filter and wedge wire filter screen. The wedge wire filter is made up of wedge wire or triangle surface profiles. It has continuous slots that supply large open space for filtration purposes. The fineness achieved using it is 20 microns.
The wedge wire filters are made from profile wedge wire. The wedge wires are welded and rolled to support the rods at a regular interval of time. The wedge wire filter is made up of v-shape profile wire. It has a longitudinal support rod. Every point of intersection of these wires is fusion welded. This makes the filter have a sturdy construction and adds good mechanical properties. The support rod and profile wire can be radial wire or axial wire. The wedge wire filter mainly includes external direction filtration and internal filtration.

Application of wedge wire filter
