One of the most common complaints during a massage is shoulder pain. The shoulder is a complex joint with many muscles, tendons, and ligaments surrounding it. Because of its location, the shoulder is also susceptible to stress and tension. Many pressure points in the shoulder can help relieve pain.

A few pressure points on the shoulder can help relieve pain. The area between the neck’s base and the shoulder’s top is a pressure point. Applying pressure to this point can help relieve pain in the neck and shoulders. Another pressure point is located on the muscle that runs from the base of the neck to the top of the shoulder. Applying pressure to this point can help relieve pain in the neck and shoulders.

    TCM Treatment for Shoulder Pain

The shoulder is a complex joint with a wide range of motion. It’s also one of the most commonly injured joints. Acute shoulder injuries are usually the result of a fall or a direct blow to the joint. Overuse injuries, such as rotator cuff tendonitis or bursitis, are common in people who participate in overhead activities, such as throwing a ball or lifting weights.

The good news is that there are a number of effective treatment options for shoulder pain. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is one of the world’s oldest and most popular systems of medicine. It’s based on the belief that the body is a complex system of energy pathways. When these pathways are blocked or out of balance, it can lead to pain and disease.

TCM treatment for shoulder pain typically includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, and massage. Acupuncture is a technique in which thin needles are inserted into the skin at specific points.

What Pressure Point Helps Shoulder Pain?

There are a few pressure points that can help with shoulder pain.

    • The first is located between the spine and the shoulder blade by pressing the muscles between the two bones.
    • The second pressure point is located on the back of the shoulder by pressing on the muscle between the shoulder blade and the neck.
    • The third pressure point is located on the front of the shoulder by pressing on the neck and shoulder muscles.

What is a Trigger Point in Shoulder?

Trigger points are those tight areas within the muscle tissues causing pain in other parts of the body. Trigger points can occur in the shoulder muscle tissue due to overuse, injury, or poor posture. The pain associated with trigger points is often described as a deep ache or a burning sensation. When pressure is applied to a trigger point, it can cause the muscle to spasm.

A trigger point in the shoulder is a muscle knot that forms when the muscle is overworked. This can happen from repetitive motions or an injury. The knot can cause pain and tenderness in the muscle. The pain may also radiate to other parts of the body. Trigger points can be treated with massage, stretching, and ice.

    Conclusion

Shoulder Pressure Points are among the most powerful points on the body. They work great in conjunction with other acupressure points.
