SEAL Team season 4 — CBS war drama — has been wrapped up last week. But fans are wondering if there will be another 17th episode and what’s in store for SEAL Team season 5.
The military adventure series SEAL Team is generally considered a middle-of-the-road performer. Will this be enough to keep CBS airing the series? Will SEAL Team season 5 be canceled or renewed? Don’t miss the opportunity to know the updates on the situation below.
SEAL Team season 4 cast:
The SEAL Team series stars David Boreanaz, Max Thierio, Neal Brown Jr, A.J. Buckley, and Tony Trucks, with Justin Melnick, Tyler Gray, Scott Fox, and Judd Lormand in supporting roles. The drama series centers on an exclusive SEAL unit that prepares, plans, and risks their lives in dangerous missions in the name of honoring their country. A fierce and focused Jason Hayes (Boreanaz) leads the Level One team. Despite the challenges they and their families face, this SEAL Team is ready, willing, and able to go on a covert mission at a moment’s notice. The team includes Ray Perry (Brown Jr.), Jason’s confidant, Sonny Quinn (Buckley), dedicated but self-destructive, and young Clay Spencer (Thierio), who speaks several languages and is a second-generation Navy SEAL. Others on whom the team’s success depends are the intrepid Ensign Lisa Davis (Trucks) and team leader Lt. Capt. Eric Blackburn (Lormand).
Jason Hayes, played by David Boreanaz, leads the Bravo Navy SEAL Team in the gripping Season 4 finale, which will be the series’ last on CBS before it moves to Paramount+.
The SEAL Team season 4 is significantly shorter than previous seasons, with 16 episodes instead of the usual 20 or 22. Some fans are confused as to why this season is shorter, noting that it could be due to the pandemic. Therefore, some fans are wondering if episode 17 is coming.
Is there the 17th episode of SEAL Team season 4?
It looks like there won’t be an episode 17, but a source suggests that SEAL Team season 4 will continue.
It has not been officially announced that there is going to be a sequel to season four, and most fans consider episode 16 to be the series finale. However, the SEAL Team fandom page for Season 4 has some interesting information. According to the listing, there will be more than 16 episodes in Season 4.
Perhaps the series will take a brief break before continuing with a few more episodes in SEAL Team Season 4. Or, perhaps the producers have decided to push the remaining material into Seal Team season 5.
David Boreanaz has confidence in Paramount+
Boreanaz spoke with TV Insider about the SEAL Team and the upcoming programming change. He believes this change will allow the writers and actors to go in a more hardcore direction that hasn’t been done before in primetime on the CBS network. He also noted that there are no commercial breaks on a platform like Paramount+.
“The biggest difference is that in the streaming world, obviously there’s no advertising, which allows us to tell our stories much better, I think,” Boreanaz said.
He said: “That’s not to say we can’t do it right now. I’m not saying it’s going to be completely different, but we can go a little bit further, darker and lighter in a lot of areas. You have the opportunity to be a little more creative, and you certainly have more screen time.”
The actor added that SEAL Team season 5 will include four episodes on CBS and that the number of other episodes to air on Paramount+, which is yet to be determined. He estimates there will be 10 episodes in total.
SEAL Team season 4 left some cliffhangers
In the season 4 finale, the team mourns the death of Full Metal and celebrates Clay and Stella’s wedding. When the series returns in season five, Clay and Stella will be newlyweds and viewers will see Sonny adjust to fatherhood. But there’s more to the crew’s mental health. Many of their personal problems will come to light in season five.
When will SEAL Team season 4 air?
The question is when the fourth season of this war drama will premiere. According to reports, SEAL Team season 4 has not yet been announced. But due to the pandemic, it is expected to be delayed.
It is very possible that the series will not return until next year unless things calm down and they are able to resume production. The series has to shoot at least two more episodes of Seal Team season 3.
The official writers’ room for the series has also gone back to work on the upcoming season. Although virtually, that means they will soon get to work.
When will SEAL Team season 5 be released?
The Seal Team season 5 will air on Paramount + in the fall. Deadline notes that a fifth season is planned for the fall, but the series’ move from CBS to Paramount+ could lead to delays.
What can we expect in the fourth season of SEAL Team?
As previously stated, SEAL Team season 4 will continue the story that was left unfinished in the third season. The first two episodes will probably conclude what happened in the unofficial season finale.
The dog Cerberus is also reportedly getting a lot of attention. He was supposed to be part of the final episode, but now he will be a welcome episode of the fourth season. David Boreanaz, who plays Jason Hayes, has revealed that one episode will be dedicated to him and his emotional connection to the dog.
It has been said that fans should expect an unexpected twist regarding a future fangirl in the series. They have set the stage for something with Cerberus. As you may recall, Cerberus made a bad decision at the beginning of the season and, as everyone knows, it will affect Jason’s career. What does the future hold for Cerberus?
SEAL Team Finale season “One Life to Live”
Warning. Here are spoilers for the Season 4 finale of SEAL Team’s “One Life to Live” series. Read at your own risk.
Jason Hayes and the rest of the Seal team faced some real challenges in season four, and while the season finale can’t be considered a happy ending for the characters, things are definitely more positive than before. Still, some problems are over, other characters will face new ones when the CBS Channel series moves to Paramount+.
A problem arose in the final minutes of the season finale when Jason got a headache while talking to Clay. TVLine spoke with executive producer Spencer Hudnut about the headache, and he talked about the moment and what it could mean for the character in the upcoming season.
SEAL Team Season 4 Episode 16
Unfortunately, the death of Full Metal was inevitable.
The CBS military drama illustrated the supreme sacrifice too often made by those who serve in Seal Team fourth season, episode 16. After the deaths of loved ones and guest characters in previous episodes of Seal Team, a longtime Bravo Team member has been killed in action. The final battle in Nigeria was brief but exciting and served to reveal the mindset of several characters.
Ray was temporarily frozen during Operation SEAL Team season 4, episode 15, but assumed command in Jason’s absence.
As Bravo’s forces dwindled, Ray split up the remaining forces to launch a counterattack against the outnumbered Russian contractors. After pulling out all the stops for Full Metal, Clay and Jason convinced their helicopter pilot to agree to take her back into the fight. Soto, not wanting to join the fight from the back, suited up and went with them. I am beginning to form an opinion about Soto. At first, he seemed too rigid and wouldn’t admit that Jason knew what he was doing when it came to using Bravo.
But after the Bravo fight, he approached Jason and even complimented him on his style of work. Jason also seemed to like Soto more now.
Jason and Blackburn had a good relationship, and it looks like Jason and Soto are slowly building one as well. After everything that’s happened since that battle, who knows if this event will play a role in SEAl Team Season 5? After Sonny had a hard time in Africa, Jason had the confidence to let him choose his strategy in the middle of a firefight.
As Jason explained on the flight home, he knew Sonny would do the right thing, but he had to make Sonny believe him. So fans will have to stay tuned for SEAL Team season 4.
