A merit-cum-means scholarship is a scholarship aimed at top-performing students who lack the financial ability to advance their education. Helping such students is one of the main motivations of GIIS schools to offer scholarships like the Mahatma Gandhi merit-cum-means scholarship. The scholarship targets applications from students in grades 1-12 in the CBSE, IBDP, CLSP, and IGCSE programs. The scholarship value varies for every category depending on the gross family income.
