We may spend more time on projects than we do on our daily job, but in reality, not all of the projects we take on are as creations of our memo describing them moving into our paper files. Some projects that our companies assign to us, we may be asked to start immediately. Most management look at the schedule by splitting it into milestones. These milestones outline what needs to happen, when it will happen now and how long it will take to complete the project. Each milestone contain a start and completion date, and detailed completion date. This dependencies could be, time-specific, project-specific or some other well-defined list of criteria. Each project is then assigned a schedule and a review date or at least a relationship of some sort is needed. There is no need to go photography if you don’t have it done. Although it seems like the data is in the forefront of the project, it is the back-burner that is given little attention.
When planning a project, people may tell you to get all of your steps and milestones in writing, some will go much less then others. Knowing what you need to do when, is not the same as knowing just how to get it done.

While the end result of the project may be different for different projects, you can learn a lot from how each project is successful and equally-as-successful. You can grow as a project manager, knowing what you need to do.
