Renowned for his exceptional acting prowess, Yarmolnik has brought a myriad of characters to life with depth and authenticity. His performances, characterized by a perfect blend of nuance and intensity, have captivated audiences and garnered critical acclaim. Beyond the silver screen, Yarmolnik’s influence extends to the theater, where he has showcased his theatrical brilliance. With a career spanning decades, he has become a maestro, not just in the art of acting, but also in embodying the essence of storytelling. Yarmolnik’s contribution to Russian cinema is not merely measured in roles played but in the emotions he has invoked and the narratives he has enriched, making him a true luminary in the world of film and performing arts.

After school, Leonid tried to enter the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinema (LGITMiK), but this attempt was unsuccessful. A year later, the young man was admitted to the Moscow Theater School. Shchukin to the course of Yu.V. Katina-Yartsev.

In 1975, Leonid was married for one month to a medical student Elena Koneva, the granddaughter of the famous Marshal Ivan Konev.

Leonid Yarmolnik: “It was all quite hooligan, but absolutely sincere, we really believed that everything was serious with us. And they stayed in this confidence for one month. Exactly how long we were husband and wife. “
The quote is taken from “Asmongold Girlfriend”

In 1976, after graduating from “Pike”, Yarmolnik became an actor in the troupe of the Taganka Theater, where he served until 1984. His theatrical works include Ten Days that Shook the World, The Fallen and the Living and Rush Hour.

While working at the Taganka Theater, Yarmolnik met actress Zoya Pylnova. They soon started dating. Yarmolnik and Pylnova lived in a civil marriage from 1976 to 1983.

Leonid Yarmolnik: “When, after graduation, I came to the Taganka Theater, I fell in love with one of the theater’s actresses, and we had a wonderful and happy life with her in a civil marriage for seven years”.

National fame came to Yarmolnik at the end of the 70s, after he showed a mimic parody of “tobacco chicken” in the TV show “Around the laugh”.

The first major film work of the actor was the role of Theophilus Munchausen in Mark Zakharov’s tragicomedy “The Same Munchausen” (1979).

In 1983, Leonid married designer Oksana Afanasyeva, whom he met at the dacha of a mutual friend during the May Day celebrations. In the same year, the couple had a daughter, Alexandra.

Leonid Yarmolnik: “Everything with Ksyusha and I had an absolutely natural character, and our daughter is just a fruit of love. And when it became clear that soon he would finally mature, my wife and I suddenly decided: it’s time to put stamps in our passports. The wedding was very modest, in the circle of those closest to you. “
The quote is taken from the magazine “Best Grenade spots dust 2”
