Product packaging is not as simple as you think. For this, the box manufacturers Chicago have to work on several aspects. Moreover, if you want to ship fragile items, your packaging cardboard boxes have to be designed accordingly. A customer always wants a clean custom printed box without any dent, or smudge, in a pristine condition ensuring that the contents are in perfect shape. The materiality is that it does not matter which shipping carrier you choose to deliver your products, the only thing which can keep your products safe is its packaging. • Label Your Box As Fragile When Shipping:

Pick up the Right Size Box:

When you are shipping fragile items, going for an extra-large box leaves a lot of additional space. This makes your item move all around, increasing the risk of damage. You can backfire it in a couple of ways. One way is to use bubble wrap or packing peanuts, but they will make you incur more shipping and handling costs. The good way out of the situation is to design a custom size box. Creating a perfect sized box exactly according to the product dimension protects the items in a better way. However, if the product is extremely fragile like glass, you may keep a margin of one to two inches to allow the space for padding. This keeps your custom shipping boxes safe and makes your shipment more cost-effective.

    Choose High-Quality Material:

Another effective way to design product boxes is to use high-quality material. Whether you want to create a shipping box, subscription, or retail packaging, always invest in the best material. This keeps your items safe and delivers your carton boxes without any scratch, scrape, or dent. Cheap materials do not only look cheap but they are unable to protect your products during the transition. Thin, flimsy boxes do not cost as much upfront, but they will result in an increase in customer returns and replacements due to damaged items. Let us consider that you pack your monthly subscription in customized cardboard boxes. How you deliver the items results in increasing the customers’ loyalty. Therefore, if the items are fragile choose a more heavy-duty material to ensure safety. Cardboard packaging boxes wholesale can be converted to double or triple walled depending upon the level of protection you require.

Pad The Interior Of The Box:

Although your external custom printed Boxes & packaging design plays an important role in selling your products, but along with it a highly protective packaging results in a repetitive purchase. You can introduce padding two inches on all the internal sides of your box. Let’s start with the bottom and introduce any type of filler packaging like crumple wrap, bubble wrap, packing peanuts or air pillows, etc depending upon your requirement. As the primary goal is to prevent the product you have wrapped from moving around too much.

So it’s better to introduce padding on all sides. For example, if you are designing corrugated shipping boxes wholesale, wrapping the items in a bubble wrap proves beneficial. This additional layer protects your breakable item increases its safety. You may also place in the items inside a package full of packing peanuts. This looks like a piece of art and enhances the level of protection. Sustainable alternatives to bubble wrap include recycled grade material, crumpled paper, or biodegradable green wrap. This little extra packing effort can take your brand a long way and win the hearts of hundreds of customers.

Label Your Box As Fragile When Shipping:

Several accidents can occur during the transition. Writing “fragile” on your custom box prevents the shipment from getting dropped or damaged during the journey. This is because if a package is properly labeled, everyone will take special care while handling, loading, and unloading.

So it is considered wise to include a label when you are shipping your packaging. Especially if you use a triangle shipping box or custom round boxes, it is far better to take care than getting your item broken or crushed. This will dissatisfy your customers and make them choose competitors’ products next time. It is an effective tactic for marketing boxes packaging which helps in protecting the products at its best.
