Canadian Geese are lovely looking birds and can hypnotize anyone with their charming outlook. But the nuisance that they create is beyond the tolerance of most of the people out there.

Owing to the mess that these lovely looking birds create they have been grouped in the category of pests.

These birds have the habit of destroying the beauty of the garden area, lawns and landscapes and what is most painful is their droppings.

Cleaning the dropping is a mess for anyone but sidewise hazardous too. It has been found that goose dropping contains E. coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter or Cryptosporidium germs that can cause serious health issues to anyone.

The next major problem with these birds is that even if you scare them away they will return to the same place and will create the same nuisance again.

The third issue with these birds is that even they are calm but at the time they have been seen attacking small kids and pets seeking danger.

With so many issues involved goose management becomes utmost compulsory. But now comes the biggest problem, these Canadian Geese have been given a shield by the government and use of any lethal mode to get rid of them is strictly prohibited.

A person using any methods  (like poison, pallet guns and firearms) that can hurt these birds will be booked under the law.

Owing to all the issues associated with these creaturesavailing professional help becomes mandatory.

These professionals have left no stone unturned to get rid of these creatures and have been testing various methods like the use of scarecrows, flags, mylar tapes noisemakers, popguns, noisemakers, sound machines, balloons and fencing.

But the result from these methods doesn’t come out to be permanent. It was noticed that these notorious birds returned to the same place.

It was very clear from the beginning that the only permanent solution to this problem is to scare the birds to an extent that they don’t dare to return. Another solution that you can do to deter geese from staying in an area is to take away their food source. Without the ability to feed, they will leave the area in search of a better location to do what they spend most of their time doing – eating grass. Plus takes away their food source making it a goose deterrent that works!

Hence a non-traditional method of wild geese removal was devised and fortunately, this method proved to be the best and permanent method.

In this method, professional make use of herding dogs. These herding dogs are specially reared and raised in England and part of Scotland and are termed as Border Collies.

The appearance of these dogs is somewhat like wolves. They chase the geese away from your landscape by scaring them away.

There is a need to give multiple sessions while using this method of geese removal. The idea is to implant fear in the mind of these birds due to which they will think that the property is not safe for them and they will leave the place permanently.

This method has proved to be the most successful one and is in compliance with the law. Hence you can rest assured that you won’t be facing any legal issues.

I don’t know what the future process is going to be to get rid of these birds but as of now, you can rely on this method to get yourself out of geese problem.

I hope my write will help you. Please share to help others !!!!
