If you cannot find the source of the problem, it may be because you do not understand what you are looking for. Many diseases or health problems come from our intestines.

    Health and Intestine Are Connected

Why? Because 80% of our immune system is in our intestines. Yes, our digestive system deserves concern.

Digestion is a particularly complex system, and problems can arise if the digestive system cannot properly absorb nutrients. Typically, these conditions lead to stomach problems, such as gas or bloating.

Recent studies have shown that serious health problems, such as arthritis, depression, multiple sclerosis, and many others, are caused by intestinal disorders.

Therefore, concern for our digestive system is perhaps the missing element in our quest for health. To improve your digestion and feel better, here are 7 tips you can use today.

    1. Eat More Probiotics

Probiotics are perhaps the most important part of your health. Their task is to maintain a balance between good bacteria and eliminate bad ones. Yogurt is probably the most widely known source of probiotics in the population.

But it would also be nice to consider fermented foods. Kimchi, sauerkraut, kefir and kombucha are good examples of intestinal foods that you can enjoy every day. These a must because if you want your intestine to be to healthy you got to maintain the levels.

They not only give you a good dose of probiotics, but also contain a large amount of nutrients. In addition, studies have shown that they are very helpful in digestion.

    2. Keep stress under control

This may seem surprising, but studies show that stress and other psychological factors can also play a role in digestion and intestinal health. Therefore, it is important to find ways to deal with stress.

Stress is damaging even above just digestion. If you higher levels of stress it will damage your brain, your overall health and wellbeing that will reflect in your daily life. E.g., if you just a strain in your leg muscle you would better apply a compression wrap and forget about the stress. Because everything is better than getting your body under stress which would aggravate the stomach condition too.

Learning to breathe deeply and calmly can be a good tool for controlling stress. You can also consider practicing yoga or meditation, two practices that can effectively help you deal with stress when it gets too stressful.

    3. Drink tea

While most of us enjoy a cup of coffee every morning, coffee is very sour, it helps to dehydrate us and may even irritate the protective layer of our stomach. Therefore, you can replace a cup of coffee with a cup of green tea.

Green tea is an excellent source of antioxidants; studies show it can protect us from diabetes and obesity.

    4. Add lemon to your drinks

If you dislike drinking water, add a little lemon juice. Not only will your water taste a little tastier, but there is evidence that fruits like lemon and lime can help reduce inflammation in the body.

Other studies also show that lemon helps the body absorb more antioxidants found in other foods.

    5. Follow the 80-20 rule in food

Fill your plate by the Pareto principle or Law 80-20. This means make your plate 80% vegetable. This will increase fiber intake, which will help the body get rid of toxins from the digestive system.

Vegetables, especially asparagus and artichokes, are also a good source of probiotics, which, as we saw earlier, are very important for optimal digestion.

This rule is what has helped to bring balance in the diet of the individuals and improved their living in general.

    6. Drink enough water

Your body needs water in order to properly digest food, and also helps remove toxins. Water standalone can cause many problems other than just digestion because it’s a must take ingredient whenever you take food. Without water you will have to face a hard time digesting.

Yes, a glass of cold water refreshes us when it’s hot. A glass of cold water can help you lose weight, because the body expends energy to restore body temperature, but, according to Ayurvedic medicine, hot water or room temperature water helps digestion and remove waste.

    7. Eat slowly

Chewing food well before swallowing it is important to promote good digestion. When food is reduced during chewing, our body absorbs vitamins and minerals better.

In addition, recent studies have shown that a better chewing process not only helps digestion but can also help certain brain functions, such as attention and alertness.
