The choice of a new TV is an arduous task that can take us hours or days. The dozens of models of each brand and the different technologies that each has only further complicated the disbursement of a significant amount of money are available in the market. Television is an appliance that we usually buy to keep for many years. Unlike the concept that we have with smartphones, television can easily last 8 years without being too obsolete in functions.
LCD: Better recommended only for Monitors
Although this technology has normally been used for monitors, being the natural evolution of CRTs, there are also LCD televisions. An LCD is a thin, flat screen made up of a number of color or monochrome pixels placed in front of a light source, which will excite each of the sub-pixels to create a color.
These screens tend to be thinner and lighter, in addition to consuming little electricity, but as you will see later, they have fallen behind. Of course, in large formats they are quite expensive, they do not have a good angle of view or contrast, and their image quality is greatly affected if it is directly exposed to sunlight.
It is the least recommended TV for any type of use (except if they are monitors, of course). The following options are much more viable, as you can see.
LED: the most widespread technology
In recent years, different panel technologies have been born capable of offering user experiences of all kinds. The most common today are best LED TV in India. This technology illuminates with LEDs an LCD (liquid crystal) panel that is what contributes color to the image. The more LEDs our panel has, the more zones will achieve optimal lighting and both contrast and colors will be better. It shares a great similarity with LCD screens, since it is nothing more than an LCD with a rear panel made up of LEDs. Of course, it has greater advantages than its predecessor.
The power consumption is very small screens getting very thin and with a very light weight. It presents a better contrast in the projected images, obtaining sharper tones, brighter colors and a fairly pure black, since the diodes that show this color simply stay black.
This technology is the most expanded today. You can find LED televisions at affordable prices and not so affordable. It is the most recommended because it encompasses the best that a television can have, and practically all of them include smart television functions. In addition, they have great reliability since LEDs take a long time to start giving signs of fatigue.
This 2020 is expected to be the year of mini-LEDs and micro-LEDs. At the moment, with quite high prices due to the technology used (very new and very expensive), but if the price is going to limit us and we are not in a hurry to buy a new TV, we must wait for the evolution.
