1. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Global Skills Scholarships
Sometimes referred to as the Dr Abdul Kalam scholarship is for students who love technology and want to build their knowledge in the subject. The scholarship is available to students from grades 1-12 in the CBSE, CLSP, IBDP and GCSE school board systems.
There are four categories to this scholarship, each with a different value and eligibility criteria.
- Category A – scholarship value is 19% off of tuition fees
- Category B – scholarship value of 15% off of tuition fees
- Category C & D – scholarship value of 9% off of tuition fees
Each category requires the student to have participated at a national or international, regional technology or digital forum in one of the following ways;
- A written paper, thesis, or published journal

All applicants must provide evidence that they have participated in any of the categories as mentioned above.
2. Mahatma Gandhi Universal Values Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships
A merit-cum-means scholarship is a scholarship aimed at top-performing students who lack the financial ability to advance their education. Helping such students is one of the main motivations of GIIS schools to offer scholarships like the Mahatma Gandhi merit-cum-means scholarship. The scholarship targets applications from students in grades 1-12 in the CBSE, IBDP, CLSP, and IGCSE programs. The scholarship value varies for every category depending on the gross family income.
- Category A – below 60K gross family income, scholarship value of 80% off tuition fees.
- Category B – gross family income of 60K – 80K, scholarship value of 35% off tuition fees.
- Category C – gross family income of 80K-100K, scholarship value of 25% off tuition fees.
- Category D – gross family income of 100K-160K, scholarship value of 15% off tuition fees.
Families must provide the school with an SDG form (self-declaration form for gross family income) and family income and tax assessment documents. Parents must also show their appointment letters showing they have lived in Singapore for less than a year.

3. GEMS Holistic Development Scholarship

The 9GEMS scholarship is available for students of all grades from 1-12 in bilingual programs of CBSE, CLSP, IBDP, and IB PYP. It is a one-year scholarship with three categories for students who have received recognition in any of the 9GEMS. The 9GEMS include sports, visual and performing arts, innovation and entrepreneurship, leadership skills, community service and other co-curricular activities.
The scholarship value varies per category as follows;
- Category A – 60% off tuition fees
- Category B – 40% off tuition fees
- Category C – 20% off tuition fees
4. Global Future-Ready Merit Scholarship
The Global Future-Ready Merit Scholarship is an excellent opportunity for international learners who want to join the GIIS Smart Campus in Singapore. Students who have studied in the smart campus have an 80% chance to be accepted in some of the world’s leading universities. The Future-Ready scholarship is a two-year scholarship open for application for IBDP students in year 1-2. Students in CLSP, CBSE, and IGCSE from grade 7- 12 can also apply.
Like all the other scholarships mentioned above, the scholarship value differs per category. Each curriculum mentioned above has different categories and various scholarship values. However, the scholarship tenure for all the above is two years. Students must show their previous academic performance in the relevant boards to be considered.
All applicants of the scholarships mentioned above must be residents of Singapore, have a student or dependent pass or be a permanent resident of the country. Applicants will go through an interview or take a scholarship test where applicable. The school will notify all successful applicants through email after ten working days and give further instructions.
