If you’ve been wondering how to reach this volcanic island, here are the facts you need.
Throughout your journey for OSRS gold and glory, you are going to be stopping at a lot of weird and wonderful places. One such location is Crandor, though it isn’t exactly straightforward to get to as you might think. Fear not, as we are going to be taking a look into what we need to do to reach the area so you can explore everything it has to offer.
What is OSRS Crandor?
In Old School Runescape, Crandor is a small volcanic island. You can find it located above Karamja. It’s a location that you can go to as part of the Dragon Slayer I quest in the game.
How to Get to OSRS Crandor
For those who are looking to reach Crandor, then the only way in which you can do so is via boat. You will need to speak to Ned during the Dragon Slayer I quest to get to your destination. Once the quest has been finished, you can also use the tunnel that you find in the Karamja Dungeon to the east. From here, walk towards the volcano where the fishing spot is before going down into the dungeon. If you’ve beaten Elvarg, the dragon from the quest, then you won’t be able to access the room ahead unless you are on the Dragon Slayer II quest
Getting to OSRS Crandor following the quest will require you to use the method that takes you beneath the Karamja Volcano.

What Monsters Are in Crandor?
You should use your OSRS GP to prepare yourself for your visit to Crandor, as there is a variety of
monsters to encounter. Overall, you should visit here if you are around a mid to high-level player with a free account. You won’t have to wield a twisted bow to get out alive, but there are still some challenges if you are not prepared.
You will find a crashed ship to the southeast of the island. This area is inhabited by skeletons, and you’ll find them over to the west too. Meanwhile, to the north, there are king scorpions, with hobgoblins nearby to the west. South of here are lesser demons, and if you keep heading even further south you will eventually come across moss giants. The dragon Elvarg is in a cave on this island, as part of the quest to slay her. You can still find Elvarg here even after she has been beaten, but you won’t be able to attack her. The cave also houses skeletons and also has lesser demons near the connection between Karamja Dungeon and the cave.

The Rocks of Crandor
If you aren’t interested in having to buy OSRS gold, then perhaps you can mine some rocks instead to benefit you. In Crandor, you will find that there are some rocks that you can mine. To find these, look for the small pickaxe label on the island.
You have four locations to choose from to get rocks. On the southwest beach, you will find seven Mithril rocks. Meanwhile, you can go over to the northeast side of the beach for three Gold rocks. The southern foothill has both Coal and Adamantite rocks, and the northern foothill has Coal and Mithril rocks.
When mining in these areas, you need to watch out for the monsters that we have mentioned. King scorpions, hobgoblins, skeletons, and moss giants can all be found where you would mine these rocks. With that in mind, make sure that you are going in prepared.
About OSRS Crandor
This is the only island that you can access as a F2P player. It used to be coated in foliage before it was changed to a blackened island filled with ash. If you need to find Ned after the quest, then you can find him in Crandor at the broken ship. Rather strangely, he is also found in Draynor Village at the same time, though the Ned in Crandor will not speak to you about the Lumbridge and Draynor tasks.
So you shouldn’t have to find OSRS gold for sale to cope with what’s presented to you in Crandor. That said, you should make sure you are going to the island as prepared as possible. There are a lot of monsters for you to deal with, especially when you are going to mine rocks. It’s a great place to visit and an opportunity for F2P players to explore a unique area in Old School Runescape.
