However, the newly released TCL 10 Pro might challenge the iPhone SE 2020 in the market. This could be bad news for Apple but music to the ears of those who are looking for a budget-friendly flagship phone.
A little about the TCL 10 Pro a variant of iPhone SE 2020
TCL displayed the different variants of TCL 10 at CES 2020 for the first time. It would be wrong if we say that we didn’t like the phone. Truth to be told, the TCL 10 variants really impressed us with their specs and features. And the news about the release of TCL 10 Pro has come at a better time.
Its release will give a tough time to the brand-oriented budget phone like iPhone SE. In addition, this will tighten the competition between budget-friendly phones in the mid-range market.
Back to the TCL 10 Pro, this affordable smartphone features a 6.47-inch large screen with an FHD+ AMOLED display. It has waterfall curves which are rare design flourish in today’s mid-range phone. The phone comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and a Snapdragon 675 chipset.
Moreover, the TCL 10 Pro has an in-screen fingerprint scanner and you can also expand its storage via 256GB microSD card.

Camera: the real deal in the TCL 10 Pro
Quad rear camera array is the real selling point of this mid-range budget phone. Its camera ray includes a whooping 64MP main camera, with three additional cameras. The second camera is a 5MP macro camera, while the third camera is an ultra-wide camera that comes with a 123-degree field-of-view. The fourth camera is for video shooting that can capture videos even in super low-light.
On either side, the TCL 10 Pro features two flash nodes in order to balance flash coverage. In the flashlight mode, these flash nodes also offer an enormous amount of illumination. Whereas the phone features a 24MP selfie-camera on the front settled in the central punch-hole.
The company is planning to launch the TCL 10 Pro under £400 and there are rumours that the phone will cost around £370. It will be available for online orders from May 19 on Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy.
Another budget variant: the TCL 10L
In case you are on a budget leash, there is another budget variant of the phone available at a much lower price. You can get its sibling, the TCL 10L with a few fewer features at around £200.
This is a good variant that has a slightly larger 6.53-inch screen with a Full HD+ display. This phone features the same 6GB Ram but with 64GB storage and Snapdragon 665 chipset. Moreover, instead of a quad rear camera, there is a triple rear camera including a 48MP main shooter. The other two cameras include a 2MP macro camera and a depth sensor of 2MP, while the front camera is 16MP.
