ICC T20 World Cup Winners List – 2007 Till Present
The seventh edition of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup tournament was supposed to be hosted by India but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has been moved to the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Now the tournament will kick-off from October 17th till November 14th, 2021.

The T20 World Cup, usually known as the Twenty20 World Cup, is a Twenty20 cricket tournament held every two years organized by International Cricket Council (ICC). Following the enormous success of domestic events, the International Cricket Council (ICC) agreed to hold a World Cup every two years beginning in 2007, unless an ICC 50 Over World Cup falls during that year. In 2007, India defeated Pakistan in the first edition of the T20 Cricket World Cup, which was held in South Africa.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2020, which was supposed to be held in Australia four years after the previous edition. However, because to the Covid-19 epidemic, it was postponed and rescheduled for 2022.
West Indies are the current T20 World Cup champions, having defeated England in the final of the 2016 competition with four massive sixes in a row. Carlos Braithwaite, the guy who stole the victory from England and made the West Indies the only two-time T20I champions in history.
At the moment, the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 features 16 teams, including the top 10 teams in the rankings at the time of the deadline and six extra teams picked through the T20 World Cup Qualifier. Twenty20 Internationals are used for all matches. Singapore won the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers, which were contested in Singapore earlier this year.

If we look at the previous history of ICC T20 World Cup tournaments, West Indies is the only team that won the T20 World Cup Title twice (2012, 2016). Whereas, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England are the only teams that won their maiden titles. Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa are the other top-tier teams, but they have yet to win the T20 World Cup.
