MORRISTOWN —- Grumpy cat, whose grump expression entertained millions online, died at age 7. The Grumpy cat spawned hundreds of memes, national television commercials and even a movie.
Her owner said that Grumpy Cat helped countless people smile all over the world — even when times were tough.
Her owners posted on Facebook that she experienced complications from a urinary tract infection. “She passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, May 14, at home in the arms of her mommy, Tabatha,” they wrote.
The cat’s real name was Tardar Sauce, and the owners were not sure about her breed. Her site said her facial expression caused by feline dwarfism and an underbite.
She get famous after her photographs posted in 2012 on Reddit. The Owner of Grumpy cat said that some people commented that the photo was a fake, so they posted a couple of videos to prove.
She appeared on ″CBS Evening News,″ ″American Idol,″ ″The Bachelorette” and “Good Morning America.” In 2018, her owners won a $710,000 (£555,000) payout in a copyright lawsuit. And her Instagram account has more than two million followers.
